The Art of Waiting - Nature Workshop (Held on-site or on Zoom)

Let’s revisit the many ways in which we wait in our lives. Let’s discuss how nature can be a pure source of inspiration.

This was the first workshop I created, held between November - December 2020. The workshop is still available upon request for groups. I have used it for parent-teacher development workshops, as well as with Anton Calleja as part of an art workshop with the students of San Andrea School.

This workshop is now available upon request for individuals and groups - it is also used as part of the Workshops in the Gardens series.

Why should you attend?

This workshop is the first of many to focus on nature and the various lessons it has for us in our daily lives. We will be focusing on the notion of waiting because waiting is a big part of what we do on a daily basis. It is also present in the natural cycles around us – autumn, for example, is synonymous with the idea of waiting, as nature moves into a slower time, one of hibernation (winter) before it is reborn (spring). Nature is so important to our life cycle and yet many times we take it for granted. But why?

The aim of these workshops is for us to be able to find more of a work-life balance, but also – and perhaps more importantly – it is the understanding that this can happen only through admiring and being grateful for the little elements that spark joy within us. Nature allows us and asks us to slow down, take everything in, tune-in to the present and simply be.

Let us try to listen.

Who is it for?

These workshops are really for anyone – from children to adults – we are all always very much students and this is one of those journeys in which we can all learn from each other.

These workshops are based on the arts, so we will be getting our hands dirty during the sessions – there will always be a space in which we are creating, either by way of art and collage, writing, creating video clips, photography. . .any medium that you feel you can express yourself by most.

All workshops may be held in person or on Zoom (especially for anyone who is staying at home during these times or who lives outside of Malta).

When possible, I will also be giving free spots away to those who cannot afford the workshops. More information about this will come out closer to the dates of the workshops and will be posted via social media. In case there is anyone you may know who would like to participate and requires a sponsored slot, please do contact us so that we can keep them in mind.
